What the House is legislating

Every bill before the House this Parliament, its journey through the stages, and whether it became law. This tracks a bill’s progress and outcome — the House agreeing or not agreeing a reading — which the Parliament website records openly. It is nota record of how each party or member voted: that tally isn’t in this source, and we don’t infer it.

How to read this

  • This tracks each bill's progress and each stage's outcome as the House recorded it (agreed, negatived, lapsed). It is not a record of how any party or member voted — that tally is not in this source.
  • A stage with no recorded outcome is shown as pending or not applicable, never inferred.
  • Members' bills awaiting a first reading sit at the introduction stage; the ballot that draws them is separate.
  • The stage track shows how far a bill has travelled — 1R first reading, SC select committee, 2R second reading, CW committee of the whole House, 3R third reading, Act royal assent. A filled marker is a stage reached; a red marker is a reading the House did not agree.
