Plain Politics NZ — published data

A convenience copy of every dataset behind the site. Each row carries its
source. A value a source did not report is an EMPTY cell, never zero — the
same rule the site follows on screen. The JSON files are byte-for-byte the
data the site reads; the CSVs are a flat table of the same figures.

Polls
  polls-2026.json                 Every poll, the statutory threshold, the known limitations and the source revision — exactly as the site reads it.
  polls-2026.csv                  One row per poll, one column per party. A party column is empty where that pollster did not report it — never zero.

Party donations
  donations-2025.json             Each party's 2025 annual return: Part A total, the named donors where they reconcile, and how each return was read.
  donations-2025.csv              One row per named donor (donations over $5,000), for the parties whose donor list reconciled to their printed Part A total.

MPs' interests
  interests-2026.json             Every MP's declared pecuniary interests across the 14 categories (parliamentary paper J.7), as they wrote them.
  interests-2026.csv              One row per declared interest: the member, the category, and the entry verbatim.

Party policy
  policy-2026.json                Each party's position in eight areas as a verbatim quote with its source, or absent where not stated.
  policy-2026.csv                 One row per party per area. The quote is empty where the party does not state a position — the denominator is explicit.

Expenses
  mp-expenses.json                Parliamentary Service travel and accommodation, by quarter and by member.
  mp-expenses.csv                 One row per member per quarter. Empty where a category was not reported — never zero.
  ministerial-expenses.json       Department of Internal Affairs ministerial travel, by quarter and by minister.
  ministerial-expenses.csv        One row per minister per quarter, published separately from MP travel because it is a separate bill.

Advertising
  advertising-google.json         Google political-ad spend for New Zealand from the Ad Transparency bundle, by party and top advertiser.
  advertising-meta.json           Meta (Facebook/Instagram) political-ad spend from the Ad Library snapshot, by party and top advertiser.
  advertising-by-party.csv        One row per platform per party. Google and Meta are kept as separate rows — they are different platforms, not one total.

Seat projection
  seats-2026.json                 The inputs to the seat projection: the 120-seat house, the locked electorates per party, the Monte Carlo seed and the scenarios. The projected ranges are computed from the polls.
  seats-electorates.csv           The electorate seats each party is taken to hold going in, before the list-seat allocation.

Legislation
  bills-2026.json                 Every bill in the 54th Parliament: type, sponsor, each stage with its date and outcome, and whether it became law. Progress and outcomes only — not how any party voted.
  bills-2026.csv                  One row per bill: its type, sponsor, the outcome of each reading, and whether it became law. Blank where a stage has not been reached — never inferred.

figures remain the property of their publishers; party policy quotes are the
